We are introducing to market our new e-Hotbox™. A big driver to develop this product has been to reduce Co2 emissions produced from the Hotboxes. Along with this we believe we have increased operator safety. Estimated savings of over £7000 per annum in LPG costs.
Safety
Whilst removing the need for an LPG burner system we have removed the need for manual handling – no more lifting gas bottles onto a catwalk.
No more requirement to store LPG on site or onboard.
No requirement for a catwalk as we can offer a camera system to look in the hopper. We can also manufacture this body on load cells that will show asphalt quantity left inside the hopper.
No more live flame next to LPG bottles that if left unsupervised could cause a major incident. LPG burner systems are safe when used correctly and well maintained.
Co2 Emissions
Our e-Hotbox eliminates the need for an LPG burner system. The heat is generated using a hybrid method of heating elements powered via an engine driven generator. We can include an option to pre-heat the body using a 415v socket mounted on the chassis making it ready for work.
We estimate that this hybrid version uses around 7hp from the engine offering a very minimal MPG usage.
A hotbox uses on average one 46kg LPG bottle weekly. In winter this could increase to 2 bottles a week. We estimate a minimum Co2 usage of around 8000kg annually.
Currently we have eliminated one fuel source in LPG offering a Co2 reduction of 126.5kg per 46kg LPG bottle.
